Review Week

Due to some schedule changes and poor weather, many students were not able to attend in the past weeks. However, they are coming again, and have missed out on some cool activities.

Egyptian map, flag, and more cartouches!

This week, students reviewed the countries that they missed, filled in their travel journals, completed the Egyptian map/flag and had the opportunity to create cartouches if they had not previously created one. Here are some more outstanding examples:

Take Time Off for Halloween!

Papier Mache Pumpkins

A great way learn more about a different culture is through celebrating its holidays. That’s why the English Club took a break to help Berezanka School prepare for Halloween.
English Club making Halloween decorations

English Club members took a week to make Halloween decorations for the celebration. We made origami hanging bats and paper pumpkins.

The celebration consisted of a party hosted by myself and one of my students, Dima. We introduced contests, like Bobbing-for-Apples and Mummy-wrapping, had dances, like the Skeleton Dance, and gave prizes for the many outstanding costumes our participants wore.

Certificates for Outstanding Costumes and other contests

There were Jack-o-Lanterns, ghoulish snacks, and lots of games. It was an outstanding night of fun, and the English Club was proud to be part of it!
Our hosts: Sarah and Dima

Thank you School of Berezanka for a wonderful celebration!
